Why Twitter lost to Threads (for now), in a matter of hours, and what we can learn from this

There is so much to learn from Meta’s Threads app release. As an ex-Twitter aficionado, here is my quick take on this.

Twitter was a platform I enjoyed and won awards for using. Twitter was captivating. Twitter was the best place for live conversations and meaningful connections.

Then, Twitter got complacent. Twitter stopped innovating. Twitter didn’t address quick enough its audience growing and changing needs. And ultimately, Twitter lost in a big way.

Of course, Twitter is still relevant, however, it left an opening for Threads to shake things up. What do you think?

The conversationalist in me rejoices and I can’t wait to see it unfold. If you’ve joined Threads, click here to continue the conversation with me and other Threaders. 🙂
