Be Your Inner Hype Person

Happy Big 3 Wednesday!

Welcome to edition 10 of the Big 3 🥳. We’ve hit the double digits mark and we’re just getting started. Thank you for the opportunity to share ideas, insights and breakthroughs with you.

Here are 1 lesson, 1 book and 1 strategy to consider this week.

Enjoy!

1 Lesson 💡

Silence the Inner Critic with Kind Self-Talk

When life throws curveballs, it's easy to spiral. We beat ourselves up, lose faith, and fall into despair. (Guilty as charged!)

But here's what I've learned: treating yourself with the same kindness you'd offer a friend is a sure win. Forget blame – hype yourself up!

My go-to? Self-motivational voice notes. They don't sugarcoat problems, but they keep me from counterproductive self-criticism. Remember, your inner voice matters – be kind and hype yourself up when the going gets tough.

1 Book 📕

The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason

“Financial principles, like the law of gravity, are universal and unchanging.”

I have read many books on personal finances, and this one is one of my favourites by far. I love the old English storytelling, the simplicity of the text and the parables.

If financial freedom is your goal, you will appreciate its valuable insights and enduring wisdom. Here are three of the seven principles from the book:

  • Control thy expenditures (budget)

  • Make of thy dwelling a profitable investment (real estate)

  • Increase thy ability to earn (multiple streams)

1 Strategy 🎯

Stop the Scroll: 5 Days to Reclaim Your Focus

Feeling like time is slipping away? I mean, it's already mid-June! Our lives are packed and busy, yet, we often find ourselves mindlessly scrolling through our phones (or maybe it's just me).

This week's strategy is a challenge: Keep track of how often you pick up your phone for non-essential tasks over the next five days - Sephora, Amazon, and funny reels are my guilty pleasures. What are yours?

Take note of how long you scroll, in a notepad or on your phone - just like tracking food intake while on a diet. You might be surprised how much time goes unaccounted for and where you spend it!

Once you know where it all goes, you can replace it with something more meaningful. What will it be? A nap, a workout, or something to bring you closer to your goals. You choose.

Are you up for the challenge? Tag or DM me if you are. #TrackThemAll
