Being YOU is What Matters
Welcome to another Big 3!
The Lesson
Be You. Create like no one else.
When I first started fashion blogging, social media did not hold the power to influence us as it does today. Facebook and Twitter (now X) were the main focus. It was easy to be and do what we felt like.
Then Instagram took over, and everything became curated, and less spontaneous. Suddenly, content had to be magazine-worthy above all else.
Now, I am not nostalgic about this pre-social curation era, au contraire, I love what it did for the culture and how things radically improved. But something had to give: uniqueness suffered. Creating and sharing like everyone else is the safe way to go.
But what if ignoring the noise and focusing on YOU, was the answer to accessing your untapped potential? What would you share, consume and create if no one was watching? What would you do, teach or give?
From experience, being me, away from trends and outside influences opens a realm of possibilities you can't quite see yet.
So make room for the real YOU to be, expand and reach new heights. Let authentic aspects of who you are be a gift to the world.
The Book
The Pivot Year, by Bestselling Author, Brianna Wiest
Day 31 - You will be more discerning about who and what you allow into your life, into your headspace. You will begin to decide what really matters to you, what you actually want to experience while you are alive, and gently, and lovingly, release the rest in time.
Day 64 - Maybe this phase of your journey is supposed to be about preparation. Maybe it's about developing the courage to take those first steps. Maybe it's about finding the stamina to keep going even when you're challenged. Maybe there are still dreams inside of you that have not yet come to light.
Day 132. Please do not allow the heaviness of what holds you to dissuade you from believing in the vision that calls you. Please do not assume that your fear is a finality, a sign of impossibility. One day, everything you fear will never come will be right in front of your eyes.
For the ones who dream of greater things - step, and the path will appear.

The Strategy
Get Real about What Matters to You
If you are like me, you have your share of endless things to do. That's how we do life, keep our sanity, feel productive and on purpose.
From vacations we must book, taxes we ought to file, de-cluttering, kids' birthday parties to plan, dream clients or brands to sign, houses we must buy, diplomas we need to finish etc... The list goes on and on.
It all sounds and looks nice on paper, but do you (really) want it? Find out.
Do you genuinely want these things, or are they what you think you want? There is a difference.
Sit with your list and dive into your wants. Who are they for? Do these two things:
1 - Ask yourself what they represent and why they matter to you.
2 - Once you're clear, decide to do, delegate or delete items from your list.
As we (almost) close the year, I hope you will only keep the things that deserve your energy.
Thank you for reading.
