It's Time to Just Do It

Hello and Welcome!

Before starting, I have two announcements to make:

  1. 🥳: Thanks to some of your feedback, the Unstuck has been renamed, The Big 3. And, will now be sent weekly, every Wednesday, instead of bi-weekly.

  2. 🥳: You Asked. I listened. Subscription plans for 1x1 sessions where I help you level up and get unstuck are here! Explore the plans

Now, let’s get to The Big 3.

1 Lesson 💡

Nike’s slogan is Just Do It. Not Just Research It, Just Prepare It, or Just Talk About It.

I used to obsessively plan, research and study something until I felt prepared enough (which was seldom) to tackle it. That changed after I stumbled upon Strangest Loop's essay, Things That Aren’t Doing The ThingHere are three lines from it:

“Preparing to do the thing isn't doing the thing.

Making a to-do list for the thing isn't doing the thing.

The only thing that is doing the thing is doing the thing.”

In essence, this edition of The Big 3 is me doing the thing. So if there is a thing you’ve been talking about, planning, studying, or, obsessing over, now is the time to just do it or dump it.

1 Book 📕

The One Thing, by Gary W. Keller and Jay Papasan

Whether you seek to level up, regain your focus, or achieve more than you have, this book is a game-changer. I especially appreciate the Goal Setting to the Now technique. Here are some of my favorite passages/quotes:

  • The majority of what you want will come from the minority of what you do.

  • Multitasking is merely the opportunity to screw up more than one thing at a time.

  • To experience extraordinary results, be a maker (do or create) in the morning, and a manager (oversee or direct) in the afternoon.

  • Time waits for no one.

1 Strategy 🎯

The Power of Planning: Short-term or Long-term, It Pays Off

Whether you map out your next few hours or chart your course for years to come, planning is essential. It guides you toward achieving your goals and positions you to seize opportunities as they emerge. Now make no mistakes, as mentioned above, planning without action is null and void.

For me, a weekly planning session on Sundays has been transformative, especially with little ones around. It creates a sense of flow and purpose that keeps me on track.

Prioritize what matters most to you, schedule it, and then do it. Remember, time waits for no one. Choose a planning method that works for you (if not already), and get started today!

Thank you for reading.

Until next Wednesday,

Be Consistent.
