We Should All Monetize Our Obsession 🤑

Another Big 3 Wednesday!!!

You deserve to live a rich life. Will you do what it takes to make it though?

You are what you (constantly) think about. What has been on your mind lately? On my mind: money moves and million-dollar thoughts that help me become more time-rich, like investing in a housekeeper who comes every Sunday, to 'reset' our home, while I plan my week.

I want the same for you and this is what today's Big 3 is about.

Enjoy!

The Lesson 💡

You Should Monetize Your Obsession

Having an obsession, an all-consuming idea, a thing or dream you can't stop thinking about is enthralling, but it can become unsettling if you don't act on it.

When I realized that I was obsessed with personal growth, it changed my career trajectory. I finally accepted that accelerating growth in others was The Thing I wanted to be known for and do for as long as possible.

I honestly never dreamed of becoming a growth coach, I resisted the idea many times until it became too obvious and nonsensical to overlook.

So, here we are. I have finally given in and answered the call. I help people - especially women 25-45 - become extremely clear on their goals and go from dreaming to doing.

You don't have to go big, change career or quit everything (just yet), but you have to start. So, what's your obsession

The Book 📕

Clever Girl Finance, by Bola Sokumbi

Simple, easy to follow and packed with practical tips. I enjoyed listening to this book and will get a physical copy.

"Lighthearted and accessible, Clever Girl Finance encourages women to talk about money and financial wellness and shows them how to navigate their own murky financial waters and come out afloat on the other side." Here are three items covered in the book:

  • Start and succeed at your side hustle

  • Build a nest egg and invest in your future

  • Transform your money mindset and be accountable for your financial well-being

The Strategy 🎯

Becoming Time Rich is the Real Flex

Your time is limited and that's why it is valuable.

I spent time doing things that didn't matter, didn't bring me joy, and didn't make me richer. I had jobs to pay the bills, lukewarm relationships and passion projects I would manifest 'one day'. Who was I kidding?

None of us know how much time we have left, yet, we spend it freely, almost unconsciously, like in a stupor. I know I did. But it doesn't have to be this way. Becoming time-rich should be our #1 priority.

Today, block some time on your calendar, to do one thing you love and miss, and make sure you do it within the next seven days. That's the strategy.

Thank you for reading.

PS: I launched a new thing to help you monetize your obsession. Check it out!
