Give More than You Ask

Welcome to Another Big 3!

This is number 33. Yes, I've sent thirty-three editions and still feel just as joyful.

With every edition, I find more to share. This is what today's Big 3 is about. Sharing.

Read on!

The Lesson

Give First. Give More. Then maybe, Ask.

Life gives you more when you freely and intentionally share your gift with others. At least it has been my experience.

I've learned that not all ideas I get are mine to keep or even execute. Sometimes, they are meant for someone else and I am simply the conduit. I am ok with that.

The same goes for connections. I believe in connecting like-minded and complementary people within my circle, to help them create magic. I don't even have to be involved after the initial introduction.

It is just as rewarding to contribute to someone else's greatness. Once you become genuinely ok with this, life gives you more, plus the feeling is beautiful. Things flow better as a result.=

So share your gift. Share your ideas. Connect people, and do more nice things without expecting anything in return.

You'd be amazed how much more in-flow your life will be.

The Book

In the Company of Women by Grace Bonney

A beautiful coffee table book filled with inspiration and advice from over 100 makers, artists, and entrepreneurs.

The book's diverse voices and enlightening conversations are the perfect pick-me-ups in times of need, or a great companion when you want to enjoy an inspiring read and relax.

Three quotes from the book:

  • The world needs more true connections and time spent with each other. - Gauri Nanda, Product Designer (page 90)

  • I love seeing brilliant, creative women making space and laying tracks for other women. - Carrie Brownstein, Musician, Writer, Actor (page 211)

  • Examine your life and know how you want to exist. That way, you can design your business around those things, and you will know when you get there. - Nathalie Chanin, Fashion Designer (page 330)

The Strategy

Get Out of Your Head. Get Out of Your Way.

This is your friendly reminder, to get out of your head and just do it already.

Quit overthinking, tweaking, reviewing and researching. Do the thing
You can fix it after you start. I promise the world will carry on, and so will you.

Thank you for reading. :)

Until next week,
Stay Consistent.
