The Lesson
Have a Vision that Excites you
As creatives, many of us endlessly test a lot of things, however, it always feels amazing to hit a sweet spot, a vision that effortlessly blends your skills, personality and experience.
It’s like a magic fuel. You suddenly become unstoppable and get in your zone, even if it means staying up at 2 AM, to act on it.
This recently happened to me, most unexpectedly. I last recall feeling this a decade ago, when I launched my Fashion Blog.
I didn't even realize I was in a rut until this happened.
Keep going and find your sweet spot. I'll share more about the new business soon.
The Book
The Power of Ambition, by Jim Rohn
When it comes to personal development, renowned speaker and author Jim Rohn remains in a class of his own.
Ronh's timeless philosophy on growth, character and financial freedom never fails to provide insight and wisdom to those seeking it.
I have listened to this book twice and plan on buying the physical copy. If you are unfamiliar with his work, this book is a great starting point.
In this book, he reevaluates the role of ambition in all aspects of our lives, exploring the facts, debunking the fiction and revealing the six life-changing steps anyone can take to build their legitimate ambition.
“True ambition is disciplined, eager desire.” - Jim Rohn
“Don’t say, ‘If I could, I would.’ Say, ‘If I can, I will.’”
“If you go to work on your goals, your goals will go to work on you. If you go to work on your plan, your plan will go to work on you. Whatever good things we build end up building us.”
The Strategy
Keep Going Until... You Find it
You have one life to live so why not make it exciting and worthwhile?
It is easy to drop something that isn't working as you expected. What if instead of quitting, you changed the approach?
If you haven't reached your definition of success yet, or are working on a new goal, this is your sign to keep working until you seize it.
You can do it, I am rooting for you. Keep doing the work (cue the GIF below sans Drake!!).
Thank you for reading. :)
Until next week,
Stay Consistent.
