Know the Truth about YOU

Happy Big 3 Wednesday!

I hope last week was kind to you. Mine was a whirlwind. I've had to shift my perspective and let go of control to make it through. Thankfully, I am here. So let's go! 🙏🏾

Here are 1 lesson, 1 book and 1 strategy worth studying.

1 Lesson 💡

Knowing Your Truth is Powerful

After the birth of my second daughter amid the pandemic, juggling a newborn, a toddler, and a business left me overwhelmed. Makeup, cute clothes, even decorating – the things that used to spark joy – all felt like distant memories.

But eventually, I remembered the truth about who I am: driven, ambitious, and someone who thrives on expressing myself. With this, I started small. A bold lipstick, a vibrant nail color, (re) painting a wall – each step brought me closer to myself.

We all have a sense of who we are, core values and passions that define us. I learned that as we rediscover ourselves  following setbacks, we must eliminate anything that contradicts our truth, respectfully.

1 Book 📕

The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel

Financial literacy is a game-changer and it's never too late to learn. Starting at any age can empower you to take control of your future. That's why I enjoyed this book. I'm actively learning everything I can and sharing these lessons with my young daughters (ages 6 and 3!). Here are some quotes that inspire me:

  • Compounding works best when you can give a plan years or decades to grow.

  • Realize that not all success is due to hard work, and not all poverty is due to laziness.

  • More than your salary. More than the size of your house. More than the prestige of your job. Control over doing what you want, when you want to, with the people you want to, is the broadest lifestyle variable that makes people happy.

1 Strategy 🎯

The Power of Me-Dates

Juggling work, personal goals and life can leave even the most energetic person feeling depleted. Forget errands and grocery runs – when was the last time you treated yourself to a real date, just for you?

Me-dates have become a non-negotiable moment of my month. Sometimes it's a luxurious spa, a delicious meal at my favorite restaurant, or getting lost in a cozy bookstore. These dates are more than indulging – they're about reflection, rejuvenation, and reigniting my spark.

You deserve the same. Whether it's a hike in nature, a pottery class, or a long, uninterrupted nap, schedule your me-date. Your well-being, creativity, and those around you will thank you for it.

Until next week,

Be Consistent.
