Practice Makes Perfect If You Start
Welcome To The Big 3!
This is week 43.
Writing this newsletter is proof that consistency isn't always linear. Showing up at whatever level we can manage is often what matters.
Keeping promises we make to ourselves is a powerful form of consistency. So keep showing up. That's the focus of today's Big 3.

The Lesson.
Practice Will Make You Perfect IF You Start
Life has taught me to embrace a "Just Start" mentality.
The question we often face is whether our hesitation to start stems from perfectionism or fear. All too frequently, the fear of not being ready, not being good enough, or not being capable prevents us from taking that crucial first step.
Knowledge is power only if you take action.
Consider this: Only the ideas we bring to life can grow and compound over time. We can read all the books in the world, but if we never put any of that knowledge into practice, that knowledge loses its power.
Ultimately, the key, if your goal is to dramatically improve an area of your life, is to reduce the gap between having the idea and taking that first step. Only action can lead to growth and success.
Here are 5 things that help me take action, whenever analysis paralysis wants to choke me.
1- Allow yourself to be terrible at new things
2- Believe in your abilities to learn and grow
3- Stay hungry and curious about your field
4- Study the greats who did it before you
5- Lean on your strengths and personality
The Book.
The Power of One More, by Ed Mylett
This week's suggestion is a great read for anyone who wants more bliss, wealth, or better relationships.
The Power of One More is an indispensable roadmap to realizing and exceeding your personal and professional goals by tapping into the superpowers and gifts you already have inside you.
Three quotes from the book:
“The happiest people in life operate out of their imaginations and dreams, and not their histories.”
“Through proximity, you absorb the traits, actions, and beliefs of the people you associate with. Consciously and unconsciously, their knowledge and ideas become a part of who you are.”
“The key to One More Try is to be intentional. You must have the strength and the focus to take steps that will drive you closer to where you want to be. This is not always an easy thing to do. It requires a quiet determination to stay the course.”
The Challenge
Reduce the Time Towards Achieving Your Goals
If like the rest of us, you made a list of things you'd like to achieve this year, choose one thing and move the deadline up.
For example, if your goal is that by June 2025, you will lose XXX pounds, have XXX dollars invested, or book a vacation, switch things up and reduce the deadline by half the time. Now you need to achieve it by let's say, March 2025.
You'd be surprised how much more you can achieve with the right amount of (healthy) pressure.
Note: the goal must truly matter to you, to find and sustain the motivation to keep going. Give it a fair shot.
Thank you for being here.
