Trust Yourself, Trust What’s Next

Welcome to another Big 3!

Today's edition digs into the importance of trusting life more than your plans, daring greatly and scheduling your day ahead.

To close, I share a beautiful Montreal-based event from my circle, for career women, mothers and women entrepreneurs.

Check it out!

The Lesson 💡

Trust Yourself Enough to Embrace What's Next

Trust in the journey sounds cliché, especially when the path seems uncertain. However, life has a knack for unfolding in unexpected ways, often leading us to places we never imagined.

Sometimes, the very things we doubt the most turn out to be the greatest blessings. Will this job be the one to change my career path? Should I start the business? Is it time to close a chapter?

That was the case for me after losing my corporate job and finally embracing fashion blogging over a decade ago. So if you need this, I am here to remind you to let go of your worries and embrace the unknown. The future holds surprises, and they’re often the best kind.

Trust the work you've put in this far and embrace what's next, even if you don't see your way clear yet.

The Book 📕

Daring Greatly by Brené Brown, Ph.D., MSW

This book is not about winning or losing. It’s about courage.

In a world where “never enough” dominates and feeling afraid has become second nature, vulnerability is uncomfortable, even dangerous at times.

But when we step back and examine our lives and choices, we will find nothing as uncomfortable, dangerous, and difficult as wondering what would have happened if we had the courage to step into the game and be more daring.

Here are three quotes from Daring Greatly:

  • “Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.”

  • “The willingness to show up changes us, It makes us a little braver each time.”

  • “Vulnerability is not knowing victory or defeat, it’s understanding the necessity of both; it’s engaging. It’s being all in.”

The Strategy 🎯

Schedule It and Watch It Happen

Are you among the many who struggle to stay organized and productive? I feel you.

The truth is, if it's not on your calendar, it's easy to forget about it.

To make the most of your time, start scheduling every moment of your day.

From the time you wake up, to bedtime. From work tasks to personal appointments, put everything in your calendar.

This approach not only holds you accountable for your time, but it will help you accomplish much more, thanks to having a clear plan. We like to see it. Give it a try.
